Passenger security screening at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is likely to take more time as the airport has been put on high alert.

In a passenger advisory, airport operator BIAL posted a message on Twitter saying: “A high security alert at the airport might mean some additional wait time, queues and delays. We are working hard to ensure your safety. Do plan your travel accordingly. Apologies for the inconvenience caused."

A spokesperson of the BIAL said that the airport continues to be on a high security alert based on a pan-India notice issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) in March 2019.
