Actor Darshan, who is known for his on-screen roles as a saviour of women, is in news again for his off-screen “performance”.

Darshan had to struggle hard to reach where he did before becoming popular through Majestic in 2001. His big hits include Kalasipalya , Kariya , Datta , Gaja , Annavru , Shastry , and Mandya. Interestingly, Sarathi , which was released during his marital crisis in 2011, was a big hit. Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, Ambarisha and Bul Bul have helped Darshan maintain his star status. Because of his consistent performance at box office, he is considered one of the most dependable stars in the industry.

If his minor roles in seven films before Majestic are taken into account, he crossed the 50-film mark with Bul Bul . Jaggu Dada,Chakravarthi, Sarvatarayami and Sultan are his upcoming films and the total investment on these films is around Rs. 50 crore, according to industry sources.
