The Karnataka High Court on Friday ordered issue of notices to the State government and a private company on a PIL petition that has questioned setting up a hydro-electric power project on the banks of the Nethravati in Dakshina Kannada district.

A Division Bench passed the order on the petition filed by Madhava and other office bearers of Nagarika Jana Jagruthy Seva Trust, Naricombu village, Bantwal taluk.
