With polished glass and granite buildings that resemble architectural exhibits, the Embassy Golf Links Business Park (EGL) near Domlur is all about manicured lawns and spotless pathways lined with palm fronds.

Established 10 years ago, a decade after IT industries established themselves here, this IT park overlooking the Karnataka Golf Association golf course, houses companies such as IBM, Lenovo, Dell, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, LG Soft and Covansys.

The emergence of the business park has raised the value of residential and commercial real estate around it. And cashing in on the demand, some enterprising home owners in Domlur and Indiranagar provide ‘paying guest' accommodation to fresh graduates from outside Bangalore who join firms in EGL.
