Girl’s suicide: CID team rushes to Thirthahalli

Sleuths of Criminal Investigation Department on Tuesday rushed to Thirthahalli to investigate the death of a high school girl hours after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directed the State police chief over the phone to take over the case for a detailed probe.

A team led by Inspector General of police Pronab Mohanty and Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Kishore Chandra left for Shivamogga to supervise the investigation.
