Girl commits suicide in college hostel

A final year Bachelor of Arts student committed suicide in her hostel room on the Maharani College campus on Saturday night. The police recovered a suicide note in the form of a wallpaper on her mobile phone.

S.M. Shruthi from Srinivaspur was alone in her room as her roommates had gone to their hometown. The suicide came to light on Sunday morning when the warden went to her room. She immediately alerted the High Grounds police who recovered her phone and saw the note stating, “I am responsible for my death.” “We suspect that she typed out the message and set it as a wallpaper,” said a police officer. The police are talking to her friends and family.
