A day after a 30-year-old woman and her four-year-old son were charred to death inside their car in the basement parking lot of Sumadhura Anandam apartment complex in Whitefield, the police and an FSL team revisited the spot for a detailed probe.
The police analysed the CCTV cameras at the apartment entrance and exit. They saw Neha Verma driving into the apartment complex with her son. Later, the security guard and residents heard a blast.
The car was parked in the allotted parking slot. There is no CCTV coverage in the basement, the police said.
The car was a 2010 model.
The FSL team is trying to ascertain the cause of the fire and blast, an officer said.
Neha was from Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Her husband Rajesh is from Athani in Belagavi district. They got married in 2009 and it was a love marriage. Both are MBA graduates. Rajesh is working while Neha quit her job to take care of their son. Their home was on the sixth floor of Sumadhura Anandam, on Borewell Road in Nallurahalli.
On Saturday, bodies of Neha and Param were handed over to the family after a post-mortem.
