Four more FIRs against Yeddyurappa

The Lokayukta police have filed four more FIRs against BJP vice-president and former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and others over the illegal denotification of land in and around Bangalore.

According to officials, Mr. Yeddyurappa has been accused of denotifying seven acres and eight guntas of land in various parts of city, including five acres in Banashankari 5th stage, 33 guntas in RMV II Stage, one acre in Mahalakshmi Layout, and 15 guntas in Banaswadi and HRBR Layout.

Others booked

Along with Mr. Yeddyurappa, the former MP, G.S. Basavaraj, the former MLA, Nandish Reddy, and other government officials have been booked.

With this, the total number of FIRs against Mr. Yeddyurappa has gone up to seven, since Friday. The FIRs has been filed based on the complaint by social activist Jayakumar Hiremath. According to sources, the number of FIRs against Mr. Yeddyurappa may go up as the Lokayukta officials are examining the report filed by the CID for further action.
