The Central division police have arrested a group of four contract killers who shot at Akhtar Shami, partner of a bar and restaurant on Residency Road, in August.

With this, the police have unearthed another underworld gang led by Altaf alias Rakesh, who is said to be operating an extortion racket from Dubai. Sandeep Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central division), said that the four men confronted Shami while he was coming out of the bar and fired two rounds with a country-made pistol.
