Ex-Minister Varade Gowda passes away

The former Minister M. Varade Gowda died at Channapatna in Ramangaram district on Saturday.

He was 68, and is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter. A three-time MLA for Channapatna, Mr. Gowda served in the J.H. Patel Ministry.

In a message, Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda said: “Mr. Varade Gowda worked for the development of his constituency. Always involved in pro-people initiatives, his contribution to the State is noteworthy.”
