Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI), an autonomous body of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, government of India, is organising a four-day conference cum exhibition on ‘Bamboo Composites’ from February 9.
According to a release, the main objectives of the conference are to promote the development and implementation of bamboo composites, establish value chain networks within and outside India, to allow better co-ordination and cooperation at the national, regional and international levels, and to take care to integrate the findings of the conference in the industrial perspective of the National Bamboo Mission of India.
As many as 27 participants from 15 countries and about 75 participants from across the country are expected to participate in the event that will be held at the IPIRTI premises on HMT Link Road, off Tumkur Road, adjacent to Peenya metro station, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entry is free.
