Employees await return of documents

Hundreds of employees of the IMA group, whose educational documents are with the company, received assurance from the Police and Labour Departments that they would get their documents back shortly.

The employees met officials of the two departments last week. “We were asked to submit original documents such as SSLC/PUC marks cards, passport and others to take up jobs in the firm,” an employee said.

They said that they have been left in the lurch ever since Mansoor Khan, the founder, has been on the run. The police have seized both jewellery showrooms of IMA, and the investment offices in Shivaji Nagar and Jayanagar — where all the documents are placed. Many of the employees have also invested in the company.
