The Enforcement Directorate got custody of IMA founder Mohammed Mansoor Khan for three more days after submitting to a court that its team did not get enough time to question him due to his frequent hospital visits.

The ED officials, who had earlier got custody of Khan for three days, had to shift him to different hospitals after he complained of health problems.

Khan, who is presently under observation in Victoria hospital, was escorted to the court on Tuesday by a team of ED officials who sought his custody till July 30.

SIT officials, who were also present in court, pleaded for custody of Khan to complete their investigation.

The SIT contended that it has arrested other accused involved in the case and recovered valuables in the form of assets. The SIT also said that it has gathered crucial evidence, which needs to be corroborated with Khan and is crucial for the investigation.

Admitting the plea, the court granted custody of Khan for three more days to the ED after which the SIT can secure his custody.
