Drunk-driving: Ambulance driver caught

The traffic police caught an ambulance driver driving drunk during a special drive at Hudson Circle here on Friday night. The accused has been identified as Mahesh, 25, who drove an ambulance for a multi-speciality hospital in K.R. Puram. He was returning after dropping a patient and his family in Madikeri. On his way back to the city, Mahesh stopped at Bidadi and consumed alcohol, said the police, adding that he was driving in a rash and negligent manner with the siren on.
