Playing down the economic slowdown, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu said that India’s potential and fundamentals are strong.

Speaking at the platinum jubilee celebrations of BHS Higher Education Society (BHSHES) on Tuesday, Mr. Naidu said, “India is on the move. I can assure you. Do not worry about the temporary sluggishness.”

He said that the education system should be reformed in such a way that it respects our cultural riches, upholds Indian values and ethos, makes India a Vishwa-guru and hub of knowledge again, match international standards and lastly ensure that education is affordable and equitable.
