The State government has directed Regional Commissioners, IGPs, Deputy Commissioners and SPs of all districts to take necessary steps to stop harassment of borrowers by private moneylenders, according to an official release.

A circular issued by Chief Secretary T.M. This information has been published in various newspapers. In the wake of this, it has been noticed that many such borrowers are illegally being harassed and assaulted by moneylenders in various instances.” It directed authorities to take legal action against those harassing or assaulting borrowers.

Another official communiqué said the Centre had issued an order bringing green gram under minimum support price system for kharif season of 2018-19.
