Dengue death in Bengaluru

Thirteen-year-old Niveditha from Bommasandra in Anekal succumbed to dengue at St John’s Hospital on Monday.

Hospital sources confirmed that the deceased, who was admitted to the hospital two days ago, had tested positive for the virus.

Niveditha was studying in the 8{+t}{+h}standard in Vishwa Bharathi School in Bommasandra.

According to sources, dengue cases have been on the rise in and around Anekal. Upset with no measures being initiated to check the spread of the dengue, residents staged a protest in front of the Bagadenahalli gram panchayat office on Monday.
