Citizens are expected to gather at Gandhi Statue, near Anandrao Circle, on Saturday to demand the establishment of a circuit bench of the Supreme Court in Bengaluru for the benefit of clients from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry, and Union territories Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Various reports of legal commissions have considered the problems faced by citizens of the southern States, and have recommended setting-up a circuit bench of the Supreme Court, said a release from the Supreme Court South India Circuit Bench Constitute Action Committee. The All India Bar Association has also expressed its consent for the same. The protest will be held between 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.
