‘Kala Sangam - Dasara Festival Mela’, a seven-day exhibition of handloom, handicrafts and silk products, began on Monday at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumarakrupa Road, here.

A variety of handicraft items that will be displayed at houses during Dasara festivities will be exhibited and sold at the mela.

In the fourth show organised by the S.S.K. Mahila Samaj, vendors from Hubballi, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur and Mumbai will display their products in over 85 stalls.

The exhibition aims to promote women entrepreneurs, said organiser Preeti Venkatesh.

The expo is open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily.
