Following the countrywide Congress protest, “Vishwasghat Divas”(Betrayal Day), to mark the fourth anniversary of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government on Saturday, the visit of Congress leaders to Delhi has been put off.

Sources said the State Congress leaders would visit Delhi next week to discuss issues relating to Cabinet expansion, appointment of new State Congress president and formation of the coordination committee.

The High Command has summoned State leaders, including the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge, Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress president G. Parameshwara, and AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal, to Delhi for discussions. Congress in different States have decided to observance of ‘Vishwasghat Divas’ and hold protests, rallies and dharna in every district of the country on Saturday. “After the BJP government came to power four years ago, people are living in much distress and the masses specially the minority people are passing their days with a great fear and panic,” the Congress leaders claimed.

The Congress will “expose” the Modi government over its alleged failure in the last four years.
