Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday took stock of the investigations into the arrest of Mehdi Masroor Biswas, the Church Street blast and the alleged Indian Mujahideen terror module. Home Minister K.J. George, Home Secretary S.K. Pattanaik and other senior officials, including the Internal Security Division, were present.
Denies allegations
Sources say that the recent violence in Hosaguddadahalli was also discussed. After the meeting, Mr. George denied allegations that innocents had been arrested.
Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi also said that the crime situation in the city during 2014 was also reviewed and certain instructions were given by the Chief Minister and Home Minister to improve crime prevention.
