City youth scores 100 percentile in JEE Main

A Bengaluru student made a mark at the national level after scoring a 100 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2019, the results of which were announced on Saturday.

Kevin Martin, a student of Bangalore International Academy in Jayanagar, credited his success to his teachers, parents and coaching class. “I focused on the NCERT syllabus, which helped me immensely. My coaching classes helped me develop my critical and analytical thinking,” he said.

Mahesh Yadav, academic head of Allen Career Institute, Bengaluru where Martin had enrolled, said that Kevin studied with them for two years. “He displayed clarity of thought, which along with his decisiveness and presence of mind, are core virtues of a potential rank holder.”

The results were declared for the first attempt of JEE Main 2019 examination, which was conducted between January 9 and 12, 2019. The second attempt is scheduled in April this year.
