Chief Minister’s SUV booked for traffic violation

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s private SUV was booked twice for violating traffic rules in February.

The offences include using mobile phone while driving, booked on February 10, and another one for speeding, booked near Basaveshwara Circle in the city on February 22. The latter offence has attracted a fine of ₹300.

Notices sent

The offences were recorded by the automated enforcement cameras. Notices were generated and sent to the postal address of Kasturi Media Pvt. Ltd., which was mentioned at the time of registration of the vehicle.

A senior police officer said the fine was yet to be paid.

Mr. Kumaraswamy has been using his personal car for official work and continues to live in his J.P. Nagar residence instead of the government bungalow.
