Chain-snatcher caught and handed over to police

Alert public caught a chain-snatcher and handed him over to the police on Thursday morning. His associate, who was riding the bike, escaped.

Hari Om, who is from Uttar Pradesh, is undergoing treatment for injuries in a private hospital.

Hari Om and his associate snatched the gold chain from Panchali (32) who was heading to a shop in Doddanna Layout. As they were fleeing from the spot, the woman screamed out for help. This attracted the attention of passersby who caught hold of the pillion rider (Hari Om).
