While the city police have sounded red alert across the city and stepped up patrolling following the 10 chain snatching incidents reported on Thursday, three more such incidents were reported on Friday.

Two chain snatching incidents were reported in HAL police station limits alone. Two men on bikes robbed Indra (45), a resident of Doddanekundi, at around 10.30 a.m. while she was returning home from a temple.

The duo approached her and sped away after snatching a gold chain weighing 100 g from her .

An hour later, two men on motorcycle robbed Rajeshwari (60) in Munnekolalu. Rajeshwari was feeding the dogs outside her home when the incident occurred.

In another incident, two riders made away with a gold chain from 62-year-old Banumathi in JP Nagar at around 2.30 p.m.

Bhanumathi was walking back home along with her grandson when the miscreants snatched her chain.

Senior police officers who are supervising the patrolling in the city suspected that it could be the handiwork of a different gang.
