The are suspects in the KPL cricket betting racket

The Central Crime Branch has issued a look out circular against a few bookies who were allegedly part of the KPL betting racket and are on the run .

The accused are suspected to have fled the country soon after the CCB crackdown on the betting racket in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL), which led to the arrest of Ali Asfak Thara, the owner of Belagavi Panthers, in September.

The CCB has so far registered two FIRs and arrested three persons, including a bowling coach and a batsman of a KPL team.

The police have questioned many players and staff of the other teams who were reportedly in touch with Thara.
