Carpenter assaulted, robbed

Three men assaulted and robbed a carpenter in Amruthalli on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the victim, Sumith Kumar, was returning home from work when the trio intercepted and assaulted him before robbing him of Rs. 500 and a mobile phone.

In another incident, two men on motorcycle robbed a gold chain from a woman in Hanumanth Nagar on Tuesday.

The victim, Nagaratna, a home maker was going to school to fetch her children when the duo approached her and sped away with gold chain worth around Rs. one lakh.
