Building construction academy to come up near Doddaballapur


The Minister of State for Labour P.T. Parameshwar Naik has said that a Building Construction Academy would be set up near Doddaballapur in Bengaluru Rural district. The objective of the academy is to impart training and guidance to all those involved in building and construction activities, Mr. Naik told reporters after participating in a review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Friday.

The academy will be established at a cost of Rs. 250 crore, he said. Twenty acres have been purchased for the purpose at Obadevanahalli in Doddaballapur taluk, Mr. Naik added. Engineers and workers involved in construction will benefit from the proposed academy, he said.
