BSY, Ananth Kumar asked to give voice samples

Direction came from a court

A city court on Saturday issued directions to BJP leaders B.S. Yeddyurappa and Ananth Kumar to present themselves before the cyber crime cell and give their voice samples.

This is in connection with a complaint lodged by the legal cell of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee in February about the two leaders allegedly talking about ‘kickbacks’ from the State to the BJP high command. The Congress had then released an audio clip of their alleged conversation to counter allegations that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had been giving kickbacks to the Congress high command to retain power.

The I ACMM Court issued the directions while hearing a plea by the cyber crime cell and asked the two leaders to comply with the directions within seven days.
