A body of a 60-year-old man was found on railway track near Mallasandra on the outskirts of Tumakuru city here on Friday.
The police said that the deceased is identified as Narasimhamurthy, a resident of Mallasandra village. As he was hearing-impaired, he would not have heard the sound of the oncoming train while he was crossing the track to return home.
The villagers informed the Railway police and they sent the body to the District Government hospital for post-mortem.
