BMTF chief has conspired against me: Siddaiah

April 02, 2013 09:13 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:15 am IST - Bangalore:

After the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) registered two FIRs (first information reports) against him, its gloves off for Siddaiah, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner.

In a letter to Chief Secretary S.V. Ranganath on Monday, Mr. Siddaiah has alleged that BMTF chief R.P. Sharma was conspiring against him and thus registered the FIRs against him without conducting any enquiry into the complaints.

“He conspired against me because of the decision I took in cancelling his site allotment when I was the Commissioner of Bangalore Development Authority,” he said. Mr. Siddaiah said that Mr. Sharma was allotted a site in Visvesvaraya Layout. However, on enquiry, the BDA found that he had filed a false affidavit since his wife Nagalambika Devi was allotted a site by the Metropolitan Cooperative Housing Society in H.S.R. Layout. After the site allotment was cancelled, the deposit was forfeited.

He has urged Mr. Ranganath to initiate action against Mr. Sharma for submitting a false affidavit to the BDA.
