The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation has made arrangements to issue student concession smart card passes for students of degree, professional and evening colleges for the academic year 2019-2020 on receiving applications online on its website www.mybmtc.com . These students can apply for a new pass or renew their old cards (issued in 2018-2019).
However, the colleges concerned will have to accord approval for the applications. Post-approval, a student will have to schedule his / her choice of pass counter, date and time, and visit the counter along with a copy of the acknowledgement of scheduling and his/her college ID card and fee paid receipt.
BMTC has urged education institutions to register their institutions through www.mybmtc.com to enable approval of a student's pass application.
According to a BMTC release, passes will be issued in major BMTC bus stations and TTMCs between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on all working days (except Sundays and holidays).
The list of pass counters has been made available on the BMTC website, the release stated.
