BJP to lay a siege to CM’s home office

January 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - BENGALURU:

The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to lay siege to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s home office ‘Krishna’ here on January 21 to protest against the transfer of Lokayukta Superintendent of Police B.A. Mahesh. The officer was probing the episode of official files of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) being found in the house of Munirathna, MLA, during a raid.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, BJP spokesman Ashwathnarayan, MLC, alleged that the episode had showed that Mr. Siddaramaiah was trying to shield those allegedly indulging in corruption rather than encouraging those fighting corruption.

He said the party would take out a procession on January 21 from the Freedom Park to ‘Krishna’. Party legislators from Bengaluru and BBMP members would take part in the protest.
