The Bharatiya Janata Party State unit added 1.82 lakh new members on Sunday.
To meet its target of enrolling 1 crore members by March, an intensive membership drive was taken up on Saturday and Sunday.
According to a release by the party, the total membership in the State stood at 21,61,185 as of Sunday.
5.5 lakh members
The statistics indicate that the BJP had added around 5.5 lakh members in about a week after BJP national president Amit Shah visited Bengaluru to provide focus to the membership drive.
