BDA site allotted as per law: Sudarshan

January 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - BeNGALURU:

The former Legislative Council Chairman V.R. Sudarshan has claimed that the allotment of the site by the Bangalore Development Authority in HRBR Layout to him “is totally in accordance with law”.

Activist Abraham T.J. in his complaint to the BDA Commissioner had alleged that Mr. Sudarshan had filed a false affidavit to obtain the site. He demanded cancellation of the site.

“I have not made any misrepresentation nor sworn to any false affidavit. There is no legal bar for my family to continue to hold the property,” he said in a press release.

The government has recommended Mr. Sudarshan’s name to the post of chairman of the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

The Opposition BJP submitted a petition to Governor Vajubhai R. Vala urging him not to clear Mr. Sudarshan’s name.
