‘Avoid giving non-academic work to teachers on holidays’

After private school managements complained that they had been told to do a lot of non-academic work, including filling in data for the scholarship portal, the Department of Primary and Secondary Education has decided to write to the respective district administration not to force teachers to do these tasks.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister N. Mahesh, who met the the Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka, said that the department would write to the Deputy Commissioners and the Chief Executive Officers not to compel teachers to fill up the database, particularly on holidays.
