The Basavanagudi police are on the lookout for an autorickshaw driver, who is on the run after allegedly sexually assaulting his minor daughter.
The accused, Syed, is a resident of Banashankari. He was allegedly sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter for the past two years.
The alleged crime came to light when the victim narrated her ordeal to her mother, who caught the accused red-handed and complained to the police.
According to the police, the mother would go to work as a domestic help, leaving her daughter alone at home. The accused would come home after his wife went to work and assault their daughter.
The police said an FIR had been registered against the accused under rape, criminal intimidation and under various sections of the POCSO Act.
