Auto driver rewarded for his honesty

An autorickshaw driver was rewarded by the city Police Commissioner for returning a bag containing cash, ATM cards, and an iPhone that a passenger had left behind while commuting from Gandhinagar to the city railway station on Wednesday.

Syed Ahmed, the auto driver, noticed the bag soon after the passenger got off. On failing to trace the passenger, he took the bag to the Commissioner’s office. The police found a visiting card of a city-based businessman, Pramod Kumar Jain, in the bag and contacted him. Mr. Jain reached the police station, and the bag was handed over to him. Syed Ahmed was given a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward.
