Arrangements to counter chemists’ strike

In view of the strike by chemists and druggists on Wednesday, the Drug Control Department said that the public need not worry about availability of drugs, as all the Assistant Drug Controllers in the State have been directed to ensure availability in their jurisdiction.

Availability

In a release, the Department stated that pharmacies in nursing homes, private hospitals, corporate hospitals and medical stores that are part of a chain will function on Wednesday.

Public can contact the Assistant Drug Controllers, whose telephone numbers are available onwww.drugs.kar.nic.in, for information on drug availability.

Mr. Kempaiah Suresh, Assistant Drug Controller, Bengaluru Circle-4, has been appointed as nodal officer to provide information to the public.
