A 24-year-old mobile shop owner was attacked and robbed by two men on a motorcycle on Mysuru Road early on Monday.

The victim, Sameer, sustained multiple stab injuries and was admitted to Victoria Hospital by his friend, Annie who works as an event manager.

According to police, the duo had gone to Nagarbhavi to celebrate a common friend’s birthday on August 26. The party went on late into the night, and Sameer offered to drop Annie to her paying guest accommodation in Koramangala.

Around 3 a.m., as they were approaching a petrol bunk on Mysuru road in FCI Layout, two persons on a bike waylaid them with a knife and demanded that Sameer hand over his cash and valuables.

When he resisted them, one of the accused stabbed him on his back and right leg. They stole ₹11,000 from him and his phone.
