The body was found in a room in a lodge

A 54-year-old officer with the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation was found dead in a room in a lodge on K.G. Road on Monday.

The deceased, Appacchu, Assistant Administrative Officer, was a resident of Adugodi police quarters, along with his wife and two children.

According to the police, Appacchu had rented the room three days ago. When he did not return home, his family tried to reach him, but he was not answering his phone. The family members later found a receipt of the lodge and came in search of him on Monday.

They tried to open the door, but it was locked. With the help of the staff and the police, the door was broken. Appacchu was found dead inside.

The police found a note in which he cited health reasons for the extreme step.
