ACB raids on four govt. officials

Sleuths from the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous raids on 14 premises of four government officials across the State targeting those booked in a disproportionate assets case after preliminary probe. The raids were on M.B. Narayanaswamy, Joint Director, Commercial Taxes, Bengaluru; Shivashankar, manager, Bamul Bengaluru Dairy, Ramanagaram; Arshad Pasha, assistant engineer, Panchayat Raj department, Piriyapatna, Mysuru; and H.S. Chennegowda, assistant engineer, PWD, Hassan.

Senior ACB officials said the raids are ongoing and that seizures are yet to be quantified. “We have uncovered several properties held by the officials and an audit of recoveries is under way,” said senior officials.
