Techie jumps to death from office building

A 30-year-old software engineer jumped to her death from the fourth floor of the building in her office on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shobha Lakshmi Narayan, resident of Rajajinagar. She was working as a senior engineer in a MNC next to ITPL under Whitefield police limits.

According to the police, the deceased reached office around 8.30 a.m. and logged in. At 9.20 a.m. she left her chamber and went to the cafeteria which is on the fourth floor and all of a sudden she jumped from the window. Other employees who were at the spot rushed her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

Whitefield police have registered a case and investigations are on.

The police said: "The reason behind the act is unknown. We have contacted family members and body is now being taken for post mortem.”
