Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Muthalik was at the receiving end on Thursday when a few youths blackened his face while he was participating in an interactive session on Valentine’s Day celebrations organised by a Kannada TV channel.

A group of about six youths, believed to be members of the youth wing of a national party, raised slogans against the Sri Rama Sene and Mr. Muthalik and barged on to the stage at the Samsa open-air auditorium on the Ravindra Kalakshetra premises around 6 p.m. when the programme was being recorded and rubbed a black substance on his face. Police had to cane the protesters to bring the situation under control.
