Man attempts suicide in Bangalore court complex

A 70-year-old retired fire department employee attempted suicide by consuming poison in the civil court premises here today after his case over a property dispute was dismissed, police said.

Mr. Muninajappa had been admitted to a government hospital where his condition was stated to be “out of danger”, police said.

“Mr. Muninanjappa, who had come to court in connection with a property dispute, consumed poison outside the court hall when his case was dismissed. However, we are yet to ascertain the actual reason behind his trying to end his life”, police said.
