Lokayukta traps official in Ramanagaram

The Lokayukta on Friday trapped the Ramanagaram District Backward Classes and Minorities Officer while he was allegedly accepting a bribe from a contractor, who supplied food items to hostels.

According to Lokayukta police, the officer, Ramakrishna, was seeking a bribe to clear the pending bills of the contractor Bettaswamy amounting to Rs. 4 lakh. “The Lokayukta sleuths caught the official red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000,” the police said.
