The city police unearthed another fake marks card racket by arresting the owner of a private firm involved in computer hardware training.
The J.P. Nagar police arrested Naresh Kumar (40), who runs the IIHT franchises in J.P. Nagar, Yelahanka and K.R. Puram, and recovered fake marks cards and certificates of two universities in Meerut and Rajasthan.
These documents pertain to B.A., B.Com., BCA, BBA, BBM, B.Sc. (IT), B.Tech. and MCA courses.
The police said Naresh Kumar was offering marks cards and degree certificates of the Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut and J.R.N. Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University in Udaipur for anything between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 3 lakh for the past five years.
He was sourcing them from one Sanjay Sharma in New Delhi.
Police Commissioner Shankar M. Bidari has asked companies to verify the certificates of their employees issued by these two universities.
