Hardware shop gutted in Yelahanka

A hardware shop in Yelahanka area in the city was gutted in a fire that broke out this morning, fire force officials said.

“Nine fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire that broke out in the shop. It took nearly one and a half hours to extinguish it”, they said.

However, there were no casualties.

Short circuit is suspected to be cause behind the fire, they said, adding the real cause was yet to be ascertained.

The loss is estimated to be around Rs 5 lakh, they said.
