Halappa interrogated in hospital

The former Minister for Food and Civil Supplies H. Halappa, who was allegedly involved in a “sex scandal”, was interrogated by CID officials at the Victoria Hospital here on Wednesday. The hour-long interrogation was conducted by a team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Renuka Sukumar. Mr Halappa has been in hospital here since May 15. The team questioned top Victoria Hospital officials on his health and sought details on when he was likely to completely recover. However, when contacted, CID officials refused to divulge any details about Wednesday's interrogation.
