Bhyrappa felicitated

Writer S.L. Bhyrappa was conferred with Aa.Na.Kru. Nirman award here on Sunday. Conferring the award, the former Chief Justice of India M.N. Venkatachaliah said that he was happy to confer the award on Mr. Byrappa since he respected his work.

Shathavadani Ganesh, who termed Byrappa as a “mine of knowledge” in literature, also introduced some of the works of the writer that included “Vamshavruksha”, “Jalapata” and “Aavarana”.

On his part, Mr. Byrappa, who received the award, spoke on the works of Aa.Na.Kru.

Jayanagar MLA B.N. Vijayakumar announced his support for the construction of Aa.Na.Kru Bhavan at J.P. Nagar.
